If you love it, share it!
One of the reasons why I love my job, is getting messages, letters and pictures from families I have worked with.
Here is one I received today and mum has given me permission to share this picture. This beautiful little cherub has turned 1 today - not only was it her first birthday, but mum has been able to celebrate her first year of life filled with many breastfeeding challenges with this little munchkin. We first met 3 days after birth, then again at 8 months with multiple breastfeeding issues, not just one, many - as in you could tick the box with all of the breastfeeding problems that anyone can have, and this lovely pair had them.....Despite mum wanting to initially wean baby, this beautiful little girl has so much spunk, that she wouldn't let mum give up....so at the age of 1 - she is still breastfeeding and doing so well! I cannot explain the gratitude that I feel when I am shared these stories. To be a small part of a family's journey and be recognised as helping to make a difference, means the world to me.....So to this mamma and her family, I say thank you for letting me be a small part of your journey. Thank you for reaching out and letting me know how you are going. I am incredibly proud of your strength, determination and persistence. Happy first birthday beautiful girl xx Happy first year beautiful Mama! xx Want to stay in the loop? SUBSCRIBE to our newsletter online!
