I'm so excited!...for those of you that have met me, you will know that I have always been incredibly passionate about supporting early parent/child health and wellbeing.
Whilst imperfect, I always strive to develop and strengthen my resources to provide the best care possible for families.......I honestly cannot think of a better way of caring for families as well as myself with the work that I do.
Collaborative care is definitely the way to go..
It means that I continue providing my regular assessments, treatment recommendations and care within my scope of practice.
It also means that I have the opportunity to engage with colleagues of complementary paediatric modalities (such as bodywork, speech therapy and dentistry for example) to facilitate secondary consultation if needed. All under the one roof!
It also means that if you need us, your family is well cared for by a team, who knows you and provides your care as though you are a family member of our own.
I obviously provide the same input with the other team members and we also get to collaborate and learn from one another to continue to grow professionally. Although incredibly rewarding, working with families can be equally stressful. We are very privileged to be able to work together and understand the rewards (as well as the challenges) that we share.
Well supported clinicians results in well supported families - it's a win-win for everyone!
So what's the WOOT WOOT! GUESS WHAT?
The exciting news is...MILK EARLY PARENTING SUPPORT HAS MOVED TO ESSENDON and located in KIDDIES INFANT CARE!
We are working within an infant and child feeding clinic in collaboration with Dr. Kar Mun Chan and team from Kiddies Infant Care/Kiddies Dental Care, along with other health professionals (top secret - watch this space!) who are available to provide collaborative and holistic care to families that need our help.
Apart from being ultra family and kid friendly, Dr. Kar Mun's and her team, are highly experienced and all about providing safe, gentle, evidence based and informed care for children from birth to the age of 16 years.
As for me, I will no longer be providing home based visits and will be consulting from the Essendon Clinic.
So....there is more to tell, so please watch this space and share the love about our new clinic location.
We see infants from birth to the age of 1 to support breast and bottle feeding issues
We also see children up to the age of 3 years for Gentle Sleep & Settling Support.
We will be usually be at the clinic on Monday's and Friday's.
We have a few appointments remaining for next week - please give us a call on 0473799478
