KELLIE EASON B.HSc (Nursing) Grad. Dip Midwifery, RN, RM, IBCLC
Following her Nursing degree, Kellie completed her Midwifery diploma at La Trobe University in 1995. She continued working between Frankston & Rosebud Hospitals caring for pregnant mamas, 'catching' babies, & preparing new parents to take their precious bundles home.
Passionate about continuity of care, she then went onto working alongside a group of Midwives at the Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne's first Team model of Midwifery care.
Eventually, her career led to working in the Family Birth Centre whereby women birthed their babies in a home style setting in hospital & has attended home births as well.
From the beginnings of her Midwifery career, Kellie was inspired to further her experience and knowledge about all things parenting, especially breastfeeding. In 2004, she was certified for the first time as an IBCLC.
Following this, she played a key role in the establishment of inpatient breastfeeding support services at the Royal Women's Hospital.
Kellie also worked alongside the Breastfeeding Education & Support Services Team and was trained to assess & manage mothers & babies with tongue ties alongside Melbourne's leaders in breastfeeding support services.
Following this, she worked at the Mercy Hospital for Women at the Breastfeeding Support Service - providing infant feeding & early parenting consultation.
Kellie's has also been actively involved lecturing her Midwife colleagues on the latest breastfeeding research & clinical practice.
In expanding her knowledge further, Kellie has successfully completed several university based courses in Family & Child Health.
This enabled Kellie to gain experience working in early parenting centres & to learn more about Family & Child health & wellbeing, Child development, Sleep & Settling for infants & children.

Complex Breastfeeding & Bottle-feeding issues Non invasive management of upper lip & tongue ties Pre & post frenotomy rehabilitation Colic, reflux, fussy feeding, gassy babies Low milk supply/too much milk Mastitis/blocked ducts Painful latch, sore nipples/breasts & nipple/breast infections Birth & Parenting Education Gentle sleep & settling support for children aged 3 & under
Kellie has strong networks with leading health care professionals that specialise in all aspects of parenting & child health. This enables you access to the best healthcare professionals to help support your family's health care needs.
She has also written articles for "Practical Parenting" & "Your Child" Magazines & was awarded the "Victorian College of Lactation Consultants Scholarship" in 2014.
Her private practice includes home visits & clinic appointments at Family Tree Health, an integrated practice which focuses on integrated wellness care for families.
